Yesterday was CC's 29th birthday and we were so busy I didn't have a chance to write this! I decided he deserved some of the spotlight of the blog for a day, so here's all about my man.

We met when I was 19 and he was 23 (six years ago yesterday actually) thanks to our brothers and sis-in-laws. We had never met, but had seen pictures and talked on fb a bit before I made the trek to Bellville for his 23rd birthday (another reason I love his birthday so much). We first laid eyes on each other at his parents' house by the pool, and we have made so many memories there since then. He took me out on out first date a few weeks later (pizza, poolside, and Jameson whiskey) and the rest is history. We were engaged 10 months later. I knew at three weeks that he was the one.

We've been married for 4 years now and have the most beautiful baby boy. Chad is the greatest husband and daddy and Cooksey and I are so in love with him. But everyone knows that. What people might not know is how talented and cool he is. I have never met a more diversely talented person in my life. He has so many loves and is good at them all. Beyond good. Like excellent.

For starters, he can play any instrument you hand him. Piano? No problem. Guitar? Easy. Random Asian instrument no one knows the name of? That, too. And I mean he can play. He used to be a touring drummer, first for a metal band then country. Like I said, diverse. If you know Chad now and didn't when he was younger, the long hair and nose ring days would shock you. I loved those days. My metal head.

He's also a cattleman. We raise beef cattle on the side, and that man loves his cows. He spends a tremendous amount out time and effort researching the best practices for his operation and caring for his girls (and the two guys). They're just an extension of the family. I would say I'm just the gate-getter, but I don't even do that.

Aside from that, he can cook and sing and is hilarious and so kind. He's the hardest worker and is often up til 1 am working on projects for work. Cooksey gets his sweet smile from his daddy. We just love that man.

So here's to CC! We love you and are so thankful for you! Cheers! *clink*

Enjoy these pictures of us over the past 6 years.
